PRIVACY POLICY.
JunkZipp books junk removal in Miami-Dade County and sends independent haulers to do it. This policy explains what we collect from customers, haulers and visitors, how we use it, and the choices you have.
01 · Who we are
JunkZipp is operated from Miami-Dade County, Florida. Throughout this policy, “we,” “us,” and “JunkZipp” refer to the operator of junkzipp.com and the JunkZipp app. You can reach us at junkzipp@0arch.io.
02 · What we collect from customers
To price and do the job. The photos you send, your comments about the pile, the pickup address and any access notes (gate codes, where to park), the time window you want, and your name, phone number and email so we and the hauler can reach you.
About the job as it happens. The price we sent, whether you approved it, which hauler took it, when they set off and arrived, the after photo the hauler takes when the load is out, what you paid JunkZipp and by what method (Zelle, card, check), and any rating you leave. Ratings are shown to haulers only as aggregate numbers.
From the app. If you allow it, your current location, used only to fill in the pickup address and centre the map; it is not tracked in the background. If you allow notifications, a device token so we can tell you when your price is ready and when the truck is on the way. Signing in uses a code sent to your email and a signed token kept on your device.
Visitors. When you load a page or search a zip code we briefly process the zip and basic request metadata (IP address, browser, timestamp) to serve the page and protect against abuse. No account is needed to browse or to request a price.
03 · What we collect from haulers
Business name, contact name, phone, email, logo, the zip codes you serve, your business license and certificate of insurance (with their expiry dates), decal and policy numbers, and the date you accepted the Hauler Agreement. License and insurance documents are never shown publicly; only JunkZipp staff see them.
Location while on a job. While you are marked as on the way to a job, the app sends your truck’s position so the customer can see it on their map and we can give them an arrival estimate. The app stops sending when you arrive, and our server refuses a position from any hauler who is not on the way to, or at, one of their jobs, so it is never collected when you do not have an active job. We keep only your latest position, not a history of your movements, and we delete it when the job ends (finished, cancelled or handed back). During an active job, JunkZipp staff can also see your live position, to help the customer and to follow up if a truck stops reporting.
Your work record. Offers sent to you, which you accepted, jobs completed, after photos, what JunkZipp owes you and what has been paid, customer ratings in aggregate, and any strikes recorded under the Hauler Agreement.
04 · How we use it
- Price your job from the photos and send you the price.
- Send the job to eligible haulers, and give the assigned hauler your address, phone, photos and access notes so they can do it.
- Send transactional email and push notifications about the booking: sign-in codes, your price, who is coming, when they set off, the receipt. We do not send text messages today.
- Show customers the truck on the map while it is on the way, and let JunkZipp staff see it during the job.
- Keep the books: what each customer paid JunkZipp and what is owed to each hauler.
- Handle disputes, damage claims and cancellations, using the photos and the job record.
- Detect and respond to abuse, fraud or illegal activity.
- Comply with applicable law.
05 · Who we share with
The hauler on your job. Once a hauler accepts your job they receive your name, phone number, pickup address, access notes and photos. Before a job is accepted, haulers see only the neighbourhood, the photos and the job details, not your address or number. Haulers are independent businesses and use this information only to do the job, under the Hauler Agreement.
The customer. When you take a job, the customer sees your business name, logo, aggregate rating and your truck’s position while you are on the way. JunkZipp staff can see that position too while the job is active.
A small set of service providers who help us run JunkZipp:
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the database and the photo storage.
- Resend sends our email. We do not send text messages; if that changes we will update this policy first.
- Apple delivers push notifications to the app and provides the maps and directions in it.
- Google Analytics measures site usage, only if you agree to it in the cookie notice. Decline and nothing is sent to Google at all.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not run third-party marketing trackers. We disclose information when the law requires it or to protect someone’s safety.
06 · Cookies
Strictly necessary. We set HttpOnly, signed session cookies to keep you signed in as a customer on the site, as a hauler in the portal, or as staff in the admin area, and a short-lived one during sign-in. The site cannot work without these, so they are always on. The app uses a signed token stored on your device instead of a cookie.
Analytics, only if you say yes.We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and zip codes people use. It is off by default: nothing is loaded and no request is made to Google unless you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie notice. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell repeat visits apart and reports aggregate usage to us, with IP anonymisation on. We do not use it to identify you and we do not run advertising or remarketing cookies. You can change your answer at any time with the COOKIES link in the footer.
07 · Your rights and choices
Florida residents have rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, and similar rights apply to other US residents under their state laws. You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep, such as payment and dispute records), ask for a copy in a portable format, and opt out of any future sale or sharing for advertising (we do neither).
Customers can delete their account from the Account tab in the app, which removes the account, its device tokens and its photos; completed job records are kept in anonymised form for our books. Haulers can ask us to close their account once nothing is owed either way. To exercise any right, email junkzipp@0arch.io. We will verify your identity before acting on an access or deletion request and reply within 45 days.
Location and notifications are controlled in your phone’s Settings and can be switched off at any time; the app still works, you will just get your updates by email instead.
08 · Data retention
Job records, photos and the audit trail of each booking are kept for as long as needed to handle disputes and damage claims and to meet tax and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised. Hauler documents are kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. A hauler’s latest position is overwritten with each update and deleted once the job ends. Request and webhook logs are short-lived.
09 · Children
JunkZipp is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
10 · Security
We protect data with industry-standard practices: TLS in transit, signed session cookies and tokens, scoped database access, and private photo and document storage that is only served to the customer and hauler on that job and to staff. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, email us immediately.
11 · Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision, and material changes are sent to the email on file for active customers and haulers. Questions: junkzipp@0arch.io.
