Garage cleanout in Homestead, the local version
On an acre lot, the garage rarely stands alone. It is usually paired with a shed, sometimes a second outbuilding, and between them is where Homestead properties store the pallets from the packing houses that someone meant to build something with, old shelving, tools, bikes and enough paint cans to repaint the house twice. A garage cleanout here is often really a garage-and-shed cleanout, and some of what is in there has outlived more than one renovation project the owner never finished.
Because the lots are bigger, the volume tends to be bigger too. A decade of stored storm supplies, farm equipment parts and boxes nobody has opened since a move is a normal find in one of these garages. None of that is unusual, we just need photos of the whole space, shelving included, so the price reflects everything that has to come out, not just what is visible standing in the doorway, especially in garages that have not been reorganized in a long time.
Homestead's city bulky pickup is built for a couch or an appliance on the curb, not a garage full of shelving and pallets. Send photos of the space, approve one price, and a licensed, insured hauler comes and clears it, sheds and second structures included if you have them. You pay JunkZipp once the space is empty, and payment happens after the crew is done, by Zelle, card or check, not before and not to them directly.
- Can you clear a garage and a shed together in one visit?
- Yes, that is a common combination on Homestead's acre lots. Send photos of both spaces and we price it as one job, so you are not scheduling two separate visits for what is really one cleanout.
- Do you take wood pallets and scrap lumber people keep for projects?
- Yes. Pallets, scrap lumber and leftover building material from a project that never happened all load. Tell us roughly how much there is so the crew brings the right size truck.
- What about paint cans, chemicals or old batteries stored in the garage?
- Those are fine as long as you tell us before the crew arrives. We do not take sealed drums, asbestos or medical waste, but household paint, chemicals and batteries are a normal part of a garage cleanout here.
What we take
- Shelving and storage units
- Boxes and totes
- Old furniture
- Tools and toolboxes
- Bikes and bike racks
- Exercise equipment
- Paint cans and chemicals
- Holiday decorations
- Yard and patio gear
Tell us about paint, chemicals, or batteries in your photos so the crew handles them correctly. We do not take asbestos, sealed drums, ammunition, or other hazardous waste. If your garage has a loft or overhead storage rack, mention it so the price accounts for what is up there, not just floor level.
