Appliance removal in North Miami, the local version
An older North Miami house changing hands often comes with a kitchen full of appliances the new owner has no interest in keeping: a stove, a fridge, sometimes a second unit in the garage. Duplexes and triplexes multiply that, since each unit can have its own aging set that needs to come out between tenants. Two or three appliances at once is normal here, not the exception, especially when a whole building changes ownership together, not one unit at a time.
If a new appliance is being delivered, ask the retailer whether they haul away the old one. Most will take the specific unit being replaced, but not a second fridge from another unit or one sitting unused in a garage. That leftover appliance is exactly what this service covers. It tends to show up most in older duplexes, where each side of the building was updated on its own schedule over the years, sometimes decades apart.
Along the Biscayne Boulevard corridor, small offices and storefronts closing out sometimes need a mini fridge, a water heater or an old window AC unit gone as part of clearing the space. Send photos, approve one price, and a licensed, insured hauler handles it, refrigerant recovery included for anything that requires it. You pay JunkZipp once it is out. Payment happens after the appliance is gone, by Zelle, card or check, and never to the crew standing in the doorway.
- We're clearing a duplex with two units, each with its own old appliances. Is that one job?
- Yes. Send photos of both units and we price it as a single job, so you are not scheduling separate visits for each side of the building, even if the units were renovated at different times.
- A retailer is delivering our new fridge. Do we still need you for the old appliances?
- Only for anything beyond the specific unit being replaced. If there is a second old appliance in another unit or the garage, that is a separate job we can handle.
- Do you take old window AC units or a water heater from a storefront closing out?
- Yes. Window units and water heaters are a normal part of clearing a small office or storefront. Refrigerant in an AC unit gets recovered before it is scrapped, which is required by federal rule.
What we take
- Refrigerators and freezers
- Washers and dryers
- Stoves and ranges
- Built-in dishwashers
- Window and wall AC units
- Water heaters
- Chest freezers
- Wine coolers and mini fridges
Tell us if a fridge, freezer, or AC unit still has refrigerant in it, since federal rule requires that to be recovered before scrapping, and a licensed hauler handles that step. Drain a water heater before pickup if you can. A gas stove has to be disconnected and capped by a licensed plumber or the gas company before it can be moved.
